Green Room Project

UCL students from the Green Room Project, 2010

UCL MA students in the Geffrye's period gardens

The Green Room is a project which has been developed by MA students from the University College London Insititute of Archaeology in collaboration with museum staff, to celebrate and document the story of the museum's buildings and gardens. It comprises:

  • An exhibition of graphic panels in the gardens exploring how the space has been used over time, integrating local history with global influences (particularly in terms of plants), and setting it in a wider social and cultural context.
  • A programme of events aimed at all ages.
  • A series of online resources to support the project, including an interactive garden map, digital slideshow and two plant podcasts.
