We offer a programme of creative activities for local children and young people. These activities can be delivered at the museum or as outreach to children’s and young people’s settings. Activities can include art, craft, design, storytelling or even baking workshops.
We also work on more in-depth projects either at the museum or in partnership with local youth organisations. Recent activities have included an intergenerational project exploring the history of toys and leisure delivered in collaboration with young people and older people from the Shoreditch Trust, a drama and performance project exploring local history delivered in partnership with Hoxton Hall, and a fashion parade project with young people from Hackney Quest working alongside staff from the Geffrye Museum and London College of Fashion. To find out more about these and other projects please visit our special projects archive.
