Event hire at the Geffrye - photography Jayne Lloyd
The Geffrye is set in Grade I listed 18th century almshouses with tranquil gardens in Hoxton, just north of the City. The museum explores the home and home life from 1600 to the present day through a series of evocative period London living rooms and gardens.
The museum’s green and peaceful setting and proximity to the City make it an ideal venue for receptions, cocktail parties, press launches, talks and meetings with has numerous private hire spaces available for both day and evening events.
Receptions for up to 250 people can be held in the garden atrium, an airy glass and red-brick building overlooking the gardens. Daytime events for up to 50 people can be accommodated in the art rooms or Georgian panelled room. The museum galleries and gardens are open to all during the daytime and can be hired individually or in addition to other spaces outside the museums opening hours.
Hire charges include venue hire, attendance by museum staff and AV facilities. Catering is charged separately.
The museum shop, which offers an array of books, gifts and souvenirs, can be opened outside museum hours by special request.
