Many Hands: May half-term holiday free activities

Tuesday 31 May - Friday 3 June, 10.30am - 12.30pm and 2 - 4pm

Inspired by the jobs done by families and servants in the home through the centuries, make natural cleaning products, bake seasonal biscuits and plant seeds.

Tuesday 31 May

Bugs under the Rug - for ages 5 and over

10.30am - 12.30pm and 2 - 4pm (24 places available)

Make brilliant bugs using coloured clay and then create a home for them to live in.

Terrific Tea Towels - for ages 8 and over

2 - 4pm (24 places available)

Print a colourful tea towel to brighten up your home. 

Tea Party Time - for ages 5 - 8 years

2 - 4pm (14 places available)

Make herbal teas and then create an old-fashioned style film about tea parties in the home.

Wednesday 1 June

Fantastic Food Pots - for ages 5 and over

10.30am - 12.30pm and 2 - 4pm (24 places available)

Model a fabulous fruit or vegetable-shaped pot from clay.

Tools of the Trade - for ages 8 and over

2 - 4pm (24 places available)

Make cool cleaning-inspired badges, jewellery and key rings using coloured clay.

Designer Aprons - for ages 11 and over

2 - 4pm (14 places available)

Create a designer-style apron using printing and applique techniques.

Thursday 2 June

Gorgeous Garden Boxes - for ages 5 and over

10.30am - 12.30pm and 2 - 4pm (24 places available)

Create a marvellous mini garden in a box using recycled containers, colourful card and more.

Bug Buster! - for ages 5 - 8 years

2 - 4pm (14 places available)

Make a herbal product to get rid of bugs at home and then film your own advert to sell it.

Mini Herb Gardens - for ages 8 and over

2 - 4pm (24 places available)

Paint a pot and then plant seeds for spring.

A day of garden-themed events to celebrate the Chelsea Fringe

Friday 3 June

Fresh from the Beehives - for ages 5 and over

10.30am - 12.30pm and 2 - 4pm (24 places available)

Bake yummy honey biscuits and roll beeswax candles.

(Please note that owing to the high demand for places in our cooking workshops we advise that people join the queue early to avoid disappointment)

Nicely Natural - for ages 8 and over

2 - 4pm (24 places available)

Create natural cleaning products to make your house smell great!

Herbal Happiness - for ages 11 and over

2 - 4pm (14 places available)

Make herbal soaps and hand or body lotions to relax you after doing the housework.

Celebrating Chelsea Fringe.

All activities are free and are for individual children and families and are suitable for children aged 5-16 years old. All workshops are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the workshop begins. All children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

Inside Outside: Summer holiday free activities

Tuesday 26 July - Friday 12 August (weekdays except Mondays), 10.30am - 12.30pm and 2 - 4pm

Three exciting weeks exploring how people spend their time inside at home or outside in the garden. Create board games, servant boxes, garden sketchbooks and more.

All activities are free and are for individual children and families and are suitable for children aged 5-16 years old. All workshops are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the workshop begins. All children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

Get in the mood for spring! Bake herbal biscuits, create seasonal headwear and take part in a treasure hunt around the gardens. 

All activities are free and are for individual children and families and are suitable for children aged 5 -16 years old. All workshops are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the workshop begins. All children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
