A thought-provoking evening exploring issues around what some see as an urgent imperative to make our homes greener. Join us for a lively conversation and a glass of wine.

Panellists

Sean Allam is the Head of Product Sourcing at John Lewis. He helps to spearhead their focus on green issues such as sustainable products, mutually beneficial supplier partnerships, resource-efficient shops and good customer service.

Oliver Heath is a designer, writer and television presenter. He set up Heath Design in 2005 to bring aspirational sustainability and good design together in a variety of media including eco consultancy, architecture, interior design, product design and writing. Oliver is guest curator of Eco Home.

David Kenington is Head of the Energy Savings Trust, London. The EST is a non-profit organisation that provides free and impartial advice on how to stop wasting energy.

Tom Savigar is Strategy & Insight Director at the The Future Laboratory, authors of a recent report looking at the future of sustainable living commissioned by John Lewis: ‘Rise of the Conscious Home’.

Russell Smith is the managing director of Parity Projects, a company which aims to improve the performance and environmental impact of our homes.  They assess the function of existing buildings, appraise and design all opportunities for improvement and facilitate the eco-renovation process to minimise energy and water consumption, aiming for a 75%-plus reduction in bills.

The debate will be chaired by Alex Goddard of the Geffrye Museum, co-curator of Eco Home.
