Be inspired by the museum’s current exhibition exploring home decoration: design your own bold wallpaper and wall hangings, make miniature houses and rooms, create vibrant screen prints, and bake biscuits decorated with delicate patterns.
All activities are free. Places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis 20 minutes in advance. Children under eleven must be accompanied by an adult.
Tue 17 Feb- Fri 20 Feb Nursery Rhyme Time – explore the theme of home in these interactive craft and storytelling sessions. Each day will feature a different aspect of home life.
Tue 17 Feb Terrific Tiny Homes – design and decorate your own stylish miniature home.
Wed 18 Feb Mini Fire Screens – make and decorate a mini Victorian fire screen.
Thu 19 Feb Printed Patterns – use patterns from the museum to create a printed tea towel.
Fri 20 Feb Fuzzy Felt Furniture – use your interior design skills to create a room using felt.
Tue 17 Feb Happy House Board Game – make and decorate a fun board game.
Thu 19 Feb Potato Printed Wallpaper – create wallpaper prints using potatoes.
Tue 17 Feb Poster Art – Use screen printing and other techniques to create your own poster art.
Wed 18 Feb Creative Clay Kitchens – be inspired by the doll’s house in the exhibition to create a miniature clay kitchen.
Thu 19 Feb Nature Dome Extravaganza – make a nature-inspired sculpture using recycled materials.
Fri 20 Feb Special Spoons – make a wall hanging using wooden spoons decorated with Indian dyes.
Wed 18 Feb Comfy Cushions – make a cushion and decorate it with funky designs.
Fri 20 Feb Lemon Lampshades – bake, design and decorate a lovely, lemon-flavoured, edible lampshade.
Tue 17 Feb Wacky Wall Hangings – make a wall hanging inspired by the patterns in the museum.
Wed 18 Feb Inside Outside Upside Down – work with The Building Exploratory to make and decorate a topsy-turvy building. Thu 19 Feb Giant Fireplace – help to create a giant fireplace and ornaments to go on it.

Colourful craft activities and quizzical quizzes inspire creativity and provide amusement for young people aged 5-16 on the first Saturday of every month.
Workshops run from 10.30am-12.30pm and 2.00 – 4.00pm

Join in our Easter celebrations: decorate eggs and egg cups and make a springtime hat or headdress.
Celebrate the coming of May Day and make a springtime mask.
A fun day for all ages: plant seeds for spring; make a ‘seedbed’; listen to springtime stories; and watch Drive, Ride, Walk, a dynamic music theatre performance reflecting the vibrancy of London life with the Bridewell Theatre Company.

An exciting mix of crafts workshops, stories from across Asia, music and dancing, in celebration of the Geffrye’s Asian Women’s Project.
