Children will learn to 'read' a room and to discover the stories behind the objects in order to increase their understanding of Tudor family life. Pupils will be encouraged to investigate our handling collection in order to develop their knowledge of the period using high-quality replica objects. This session supports QCA Unit 8 ‘Differences between rich and poor.’
Please note this session requires INSET.
A wonderful chance to discover the importance of herbs in domestic life. Pupils will be able to see how the herbs are planted according to their use, and will be encouraged to touch the plants to release their aroma. They will record their work through close observational sketches. This session supports QCA Unit 8.
