Self-guided visits

We have two resource packs that are suitable for Entry 1 and Entry 2 students. Each pack contains background notes, pre-visit, visit and post-visit activities.

The new Entry 3 pack will be available from the summer term 2009.

Visit information


  • Self-guided visits must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
  • All visits and materials are free of charge.
  • As taught sessions are popular, we recommend booking at least one month in advance. A cancellation fee of £40.00 will be levied if less than a week's notice is given.
  • Dates other than those advertised may be accommodated but are subject to availability.
  • Maximum group size per session is 20.
  • Sessions can be adapted to suit your group's level and the home/garden topic areas you have been exploring in college.
  • Lunch rooms are restricted and subject to availability.

Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays 12 noon –5.00pm

Access for disabled visitors All main displays are located on the ground floor. Entrance and gardens are ramped and fully accessible to wheelchairs. Facilities include: accessible toilets, lift, audio guide, and induction loop in the Lecture Room
